Yufei Zhao Professor、Doctoral Supervisor、Member of the Communist Party of China College of Chemistry, Beijing University of Chemical Technology
He is a PhD advisor, a Young Scientist of the Key Research and Development Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientists Fund (2019, rated excellent upon completion). He was selected for the Youth Talent Support Project by the China Association for Science and Technology, and has been a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher for five consecutive years from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, he is an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher in China in Chemical Engineering and Technology from 2021 to 2023. He graduated with a PhD from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2013 under the supervision of Academician Xue Duan. He conducted research visits at Oxford University in the laboratories of Professors Dermot O'Hare and Edman Tsang in 2011-2012 and 2018. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as an assistant researcher at the Supramolecular Photochemistry Research Center of the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2018, he joined the National Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Efficient Utilization at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, focusing on the controlled synthesis of hydrotalcite-based nanomaterials and their applications in mineralization and catalysis. To date, he has led one Key Research and Development Program for Young Scientists by the Ministry of Science and Technology, one NSFC Young Scientists Fund project, two General Program projects, one International (Regional) Cooperation and Exchange project, one Excellent Young Scientists Fund project (rated excellent upon completion), one General Program project of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and five corporate projects. He has published over 110 SCI papers with a total of more than 22,500 citations and an H-index of 71. Among these, over 60 papers as first or corresponding author were published in SCI journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Chem, Joule, and leading chemical engineering journals like AIChe J, Chem. Eng. Sci., Ind. Eng. Chem. Res., and Chem. Eng. J. He holds 22 authorized national invention patents. Additionally, he co-edited an English monograph published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). He was selected as a 2023 Class of Influential Researchers by the American Chemical Society's Ind Eng Chem Res, awarded the 2021 Special Prize by the China Society of Imaging Science and Technology, and the second prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Petrochemical Industry Federation in 2022. He serves on the editorial board or as a young editorial board member for Acta Physico-Chimica Sinica, Transactions of Tianjin University, and SmartMat. He is the deputy director of the Institute of Resource Chemistry and the deputy director of the Science Popularization Experimental Center at Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
