个人简介
Andy Jiahao LIU is currently an Assistant Instructor I in the English Language and Literature Studies Programme at the Department of Languages and Cultures, BNU-HKBU United International College. Before that, he earned his MA degree in English Studies from the University of Macau. During the MA period, he also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and an English Language Teaching Assistant for around 1.5 years.
As an applied linguist and language tester, Andy has conducted research on language assessment literacy, language assessment fairness, second language writing, English as a lingua franca, conversation analysis, academic literacies development in higher education, and their intersections. In particular, he is interested in exploring and presenting learners' or test-takers' voices and insights in the field of language testing and assessment. His research is widely disseminated across international publications and national and international conferences. In the meantime, he also served as the reviewer for book chapters, journal articles, and conference proposals within his field.
Andy has been actively engaged in language testing professional organizations, including International Language Testing Association (ILTA), and Asian Association for Language Assessment (AALA). He serves on the graduate student committee of ILTA and AALA in the capacity of Steering Committee Member and Committee Member, respectively. At ILTA, Andy co-chaired the proposal, preparation, and implementation of the Language Tester Networking Program (LTNP) at the forthcoming 44th Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC, the annual ILTA conference); he also co-organized the 2022 ILTA Webinar Ethical Dilemmas in Language Assessment and actively participated in the peer-review group. At AALA, Andy chaired the questionnaire team to explore AALA student members' information and their interests in future events or topics.
