Chief Editor: Katrina Ray, PhD ORCIDKatrina studied for a BSc in Microbiology at the University of Manchester. Next, as part of the EIMID programme, she worked at the Institut Pasteur (Philippe Sansonetti group), Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology (Arturo Zychlinsky group) and Karolinska Institutet (Birgitta Henriques–Normark group) before carrying out her PhD studying Shigella flexneri at Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Tang. She joined the clinical Nature Reviews in 2010 as a Cross-journal Associate Editor, before moving to Nature Reviews Rheumatology and Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology as Associate Editor in 2011, becoming Senior Editor in 2012. She was Acting Chief Editor for Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology September 2012–August 2013 and became Chief Editor in August 2014. Katrina has a special interest in gastroenterology, microbiota, infection, viral hepatitis and neurogastroenterology. Senior Editor: Iain Dickson, PhD ORCIDIain received his BSc and Master’s from the University of Southampton studying marine biology. Following a period working as a clinical trials laboratory technician at Queen Mary University of London, he completed his PhD training at King’s College London. His research concerned a potential new therapeutic for osteoporosis, derived from a marine sponge found on the Great Barrier Reef. Iain joined Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology as a Locum Associate Editor in 2016, before becoming a permanent member of the team in June 2016. Iain was promoted to Senior Editor in April 2018. Iain has a special interest in pancreatology, gastrointestinal cancer (including colorectal cancer, gastric cancer and oesophageal cancer), Barrett oesophagus and GERD. Associate Editor: Jordan Hindson ORCIDJordan studied for a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Warwick. He then joined the Nature Reviews team as a Journal Assistant in 2016, before becoming a Proofreader in 2017 and then a Senior Proofreader in 2018. During this time, Jordan received an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. In September 2019, Jordan joined Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology as an Associate Editor.
