个人简介
刘敏任ASCEJournalofConstructionEngineeringandManagement和ASCEJournalofManagementinEngineering副主编，为NationalScienceFoundationCMMI-CivilInfrastructureSystems和ProjectManagementInstitute的评审成员，也是10余个美国和英国建筑施工专业期刊的评审成员，主持过多项国家政府级的研究项目，在本专业最好的学术期刊ASCEJournalofConstructionEngineeringandManagement发表30多篇论文。
作为指导老师已毕业博士4人（BradW.Wambeke上校,2011年毕业，现任WestPoint,西点军校终身教授；DonnaHollar,2012年毕业，现任EastCarolinaUniversity,东卡罗莱娜州立大学助理教授；MarkM.Russell少校,2013年毕业，现任U.S.AirForceAcademy,美国空军学院助理教授;AliAbbasian,现任PCLProjectManager），毕业研究硕士5人，毕业课程硕士10人。共同指导毕业博士7人，研究硕士4人。目前指导在读博士生2人，研究硕士2人。指导中国教育部委派访问学者1人，指导国际暑期研究学生8名。获学校优秀教师奖2次（2011和2014）。
刘敏在精益建筑研究领域处于国际领先地位，创立了北卡精益建筑学会，并任精益建筑学会国家委员会成员。
