个人简介

内蒙古大学生态学学士、中国科学院研究生院/植物所生态学硕士和法国蒙彼利尔(Montpellier)大学生态与进化科学博士(1992)。曾任中国科学院植物所生态室研究员和新西兰草地农业皇家研究院土地与环境部资深研究员等职。现任内蒙古大学生态学特聘教授、学术委员会委员、生态与环境学院院长、省部共建草地生态学国家重点实验室培育基地主任。兼任中国生态学会理事(1995-99)、中国草学会理事、《植物生态学报》副主编(1994-98)、Journal of Arid Land副主编和草业科学编委等职。

研究领域

长期从事陆地生态系统研究,目前的研究主要围绕蒙古高原生态系统,涉及植被生态、气候变化、固碳减排、生态修复、草地利用、环境保护、以及生态系统模拟和管理决策支持等。
