任炳忠 博士，东北师范大学教授、博士研究生导师。吉林省昆虫学会理事长，吉林省植保学会副理事长，中国昆虫学会理事，中国科学院第五届动物志编辑委员会编委。
吉林省政协十二届委员，长春市政协十二及十三届委员；民革吉林省委员会第十一届及十二届常委，民革长春市委员会第十一届及十二届副主委；民革东北师范大学委员会第二届主委。
