Dr. Lonny Yarmus is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include critical care, interventional pulmonology and lung cancer. Dr. Yarmus serves as the clinical chief for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and the fellowship director of Interventional Pulmonology at Johns Hopkins. He earned his D.O. from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Maine. He performed fellowships in pulmonary medicine at Johns Hopkins and pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Maine Medical Center. Dr. Yarmus' research interests include central airway obstruction, lung cancer, lung transplant airway stenosis and interventional pulmonology. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society for Critical Care Medicine.
