Dr. Sangeeta Sule is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. She attended Tulane University where she received a bachelor’s cellular and molecular biology. She is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and received a PhD in Clinical Investigation from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Sule pursued internship and residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor and then undertook fellowship training in rheumatology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Sule is actively involved, as a clinician, educator and investigator in the care of pediatric patients with a range of rheumatologic diseases. Her research interest is primarily focused on pediatric lupus. Dr. Sule has established a cohort of patients with SLE and is studying the association of measures of disease activity and damage with clinical outcomes. In addition, Dr. Sule is pursuing new areas of research in pediatric rheumatology. She is currently studying the effects of diet and exercise on inflammation in pediatric rheumatic diseases. She has an ongoing trial of different exercise techniques in children with juvenile arthritis. Dr. Sule is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
