个人简介
Dr. Samantha Irene Pitts is an assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She sees patients at Johns Hopkins Green Spring Station.
Dr. Pitts received her B.A. from Brown University and completed her M.D. and residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, where she focused on primary care and evidence-based medicine. She subsequently received her M.P.H. in epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. She has completed fellowship training in applied epidemiology at the New Jersey Department of Health and in general internal medicine and comparative effectiveness research at Johns Hopkins.
She is a champion of the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP) team at the Green Spring General Internal Medicine and serves as Assistant Director of the Armstrong Institute’s Patient Safety and Quality Leadership Academy.
Her research interests include ambulatory patient safety and quality, including the application of CUSP in office based practices and improving delivery of evidence-based care through clinical care teams.
