Dr. David Bennett Pearse is a professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Dr. Pearse serves as the medical director of Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Dr. Pearse earned his M.D. from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins. He performed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine and a fellowship in critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins. His research interests include pulmonary endothelial barrier function, acute lung injury and pulmonary thromboembolism.
