Dr. Anne Monroe is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include infectious diseases. Dr. Monroe earned her M.D. from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and performed a fellowship in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins. Her research interests include optimizing care of HIV-infected patients with medical comorbidities and cardiovascular disease risk reduction in HIV-infected patients. Dr. Monroe was the 2011 recipient of the Society of General Internal Medicine’s Linn Award, which funds young investigators to study or improve the quality of life for persons with AIDS or HIV infection.
