个人简介

Dr. Rebecca Manno is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include rheumatology and vasculitis. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Manno earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland. She performed her fellowship in rheumatology at Johns Hopkins and then joined the faculty. Building on methodologic training in the Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Dr. Manno’s clinical and research interests are in older individuals with rheumatic diseases, particularly inflammatory arthritis and vasculitis. She is a faculty member in both the Johns Hopkins Arthritis Center and the Johns Hopkins Vasculitis Center. Dr. Manno is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Geriatrics Society.

Geriatric rheumatology - specifically vasculitis and arthritis in older individuals; Sarcopenia; Exercise and Inflammation

Dr. Manno’s research focuses on the effect of inflammatory arthritis and vasculitis on muscle, strength and function, particularly in older patients. She is also studying the impact of resistance exercise and nutrition on muscle, strength and inflammation in patients with inflammatory arthritis and vasculitis.
