个人简介

Dr. Daphne Knicely is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine within the Division of Nephrology. She earned her medical degree at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC, and a clinical Nephrology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2014. Dr. Knicely is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Knicely is committed to medical education with involvement as Co-Director for the Genes-to-Society Renal course for second year medical students, selected firm faculty for the Osler Medicine training program, and Associate Director of the Nephrology fellowship program at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Knicely has special interest in patient education and outcomes. She is Co-Director of patient education within the Division of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins. She helped establish the ABCs of Kidney Disease patient education program which includes the ABCs of Kidney Disease monthly free education series for patients, Caring for Kidney Disease yearly free patient education conference, and additional patient education endeavors. Dr. Knicely's has specific clinical expertise in the management of solitary kidneys, diabetic kidney disease, and home dialysis therapies. MD, East Carolina University School of Medicine (2008)
