个人简介

Dr. Flynn completed his undergraduate work at Boston College, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Mathematics. Dr. Flynn received his MD from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his internship and residency at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology. Dr. Flynn also completed his MBA at The Johns Hopkins University and his MEd at the University of Cincinnati. He is Board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and is a fellow with the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the Assessment of Spondyloarthritis international Society (ASAS). The mission of this international group of experts in the field of spondyloarthritis to support and promote the study of Axial and Peripheral Spondyloarthritis, Increasing awareness and early diagnosis of the disease, the development and validation of assessment tools, and the evaluation of treatment modalities in order to promote clinical research with the ultimate goal to improve outcome of the disease. He is also a member of the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network’ (SPARTAN). This a network of health care professionals in North America who are dedicated to research, awareness and treatment of spondyloarthritis. His research focuses on Innovations in ambulatory medical education, electronic medical records and the advancement of care for patients with spondyloarthritis. Dr. Flynn is the editor and co-author of Cutaneous Medicine: Cutaneous Manifestations of Systemic Disease, the Oxford American Handbook of Clinical Medicine, and Mosby’s Guide to Physical Examination.
