Dr. Franco Rafael D'Alessio is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include critical care medicine, internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. Dr. D'Alessio earned his M.D. from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins. He performed a fellowship at the Institute Tropical Medicine Alexander Von Humboldt and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins. His research interests include mechanisms underlying resolution of lung inflammation and injury and interactions between alveolar macrophages and regulatory T cells.
