Dr. Natasha Chida is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include infectious disease and internal medicine.
She serves as the associate director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and the director of education for the Johns Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education. She is also course director for Topics in Interdisciplinary Medicine – Global Health at the School of Medicine.
Dr. Chida received her undergraduate degree in English and psychology from the University of Florida. She earned her M.D. and M.S.P.H. from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and performed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Johns Hopkins.
Her research interests include using curriculum development and education to improve patient outcomes both domestically and abroad. She is particularly interested in the education of physicians-in-training.
Dr. Chida is the editor of the blog ID Clinical Minute, which she established to provide US-based and international clinicians and trainees with synopses of information about infectious disease practice for adult patients.

Dr. Chida’s recent research involves developing an assessment tool to evaluate internal medicine residents' understanding of TB diagnostics, and evaluating the tool for sources of validity.
