个人简介
Dr. Andreas S. Barth is an assistant professor in the division of cardiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is currently engaged in research on transcriptome analyses in heart failure (microarray and RNA sequencing), the relationship between metabolic and arrhythmogenic ion channel remodeling in the failing heart, and biomarker discovery in heart failure and sudden cardiac death. His clinical work focuses on Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology with specific focus on inherited arrhythmia syndromes and channelopathies as well as device therapy.
Dr. Barth earned combined doctor of medicine and doctor of philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. Dr. Kral completed his residency at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2016.
He has been recognized with the First Prize for the Stanley L. Blumenthal Cardiology Research Award in Clinical Science in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and most recently as a finalist, Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Award.
