Majd AlGhatrif, M.D., joined the CIMS faculty following his residency in internal medicine at Union Memorial Hospital, where he also served as a chief resident. During his residency, Dr. AlGhatrif had a concurrent appointment at the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science at the NIA/NIH, which he continues to carry. Dr. AlGhatrif holds academic interests in arterial stiffness, arterial-ventricular coupling, and heart failure with preserved systolic function. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Aging and Health and a reviewer for a number of journals in the field of cardiovascular aging. He also is a member of the American College of Physicians, North American Artery Society and the American Heart Association. MD, University of Damascus (2006)
