现为浙江大学医学院教授、社会医学与卫生事业管理专业博士生导师。中共“十七大”代表，浙江省第十届人大代表，国务院“政府特殊津贴”获得者。工作经历: 1983—1987 ，浙江医科大学临床医学系助教 1987—1990，浙江医科大学社会科学部讲师 1991—1994，浙江医科大学校长办公室副主任 1994—1996，浙江医科大学公共卫生学院书记、副院长，副教授、硕士生导师 1996—1998，浙江医科大学，党委副书记 1998—1999，浙江大学湖滨校区工作领导小组组长、教授 1999—2002，浙江大学医学院党委书记、常务副院长，博士生导师2000 2002— 浙江大学社会医学与全科医学研究所所长学习经历: 1978—1982，浙江医科大学临床医学系，本科学生，医学学士 1984—1985，中国人民大学国际政治系，助教进修生 1990—1993，上海医科大学公共卫生学院，硕士研究生，医学硕士 1995—1996，美国印第安纳大学（IUPUI），访问学者 2006.7-8，英国伦敦大学学院（UCL），访问教授
