Stephanie Nichols, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP, is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Husson University. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. After graduation, Dr. Nichols completed a Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency at Maine Medical Center (MMC) in Portland, Maine. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP). She is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts School of Medicine and Adjunct Faculty in Husson’s Graduate Nursing Program. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP). She is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts School of Medicine and Adjunct Faculty in Husson’s Graduate Nursing Program. Dr. Nichols has been practicing clinical pharmacy in the area of adult med/psych for over a decade and is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Psychiatry. Throughout her career, she has served as a preceptor for over 50 students from 7 distinct pharmacy schools. She has also served as a preceptor for a dozen medical/psychiatry physician residents and for a handful of pharmacy residents. She has won awards for her pharmacy student preceptorship (Husson Faculty Experiential Educator of the Year) and for her psychiatry resident teaching (MMC Psychiatry Residents and Fellows Outpatient Teacher of the Year Award). In the classroom, Dr. Nichols teaches mental health topics and courses, including the following: Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Use Disorders, Geriatric Psychopharmacology, Drug Induced Psychiatric Diseases, and Advance Psychopharmacology. Dr. Nichols was awarded the Husson Teaching Excellence and Innovation Award for her didactic teaching. In practice, Dr. Nichols focuses on interprofessional teaching and patient care in the area of psychiatry. She and her students are actively engaged in inpatient psychiatry rounds, consult-liaison psychiatry rounds, outpatient psychiatry preceptor clinic, and substance use disorder rounds. Dr. Nichols is heavily involved in professional service and holds the following national positions: appointed member of the New England Comparative Effectiveness Public Advisor council (2016-2019), editorial board member of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) Recertification Editorial Board (2016-2018), and appointed member of the Programming Committee (2015–2017) for the 2017 American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Annual Meeting. She also delivers psychopharmacotherapy and substance use disorder education throughout the state at various pharmacy, medical, and interprofessional conferences including: Maine Pharmacy Association, Maine Society of Health System Pharmacists, Maine Association of Physician Assistants, Maine Occupational Therapy Association, Maine Medical Association, and American College of Physicians. She was awarded the Cardinal Health Generations RX Champions Award by the Maine Pharmacy Association for her outstanding commitment to education around substance use disorders and prescription drug abuse.

Dr. Anthony Casapao's research interest focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and health outcomes. Specifically, Dr. Casapao is interested in the clinical implications in anti-infective resistance, using stochastic modeling to determine appropriate antibiotic selection, and infectious diseases surveillance and epidemiology.
