BS in biology from Evangel College; MS in zoology from the University of Tennessee; Kentucky teacher certification in biology and chemistry
Lynn Eisenhour is a science educator whose passion is helping students to understand various subjects in science such as biology, chemistry and physical science. Eisenhour's contribution, at the beginning of most students' advanced education, allows her to inspire new generations of scientists and to impress upon non-specialists the link between science and other disciplines.
Eisenhour's primary research interest is molecular genetics. Her work as a lab technician at MSU has allowed her to help students develop skills in use of many molecular techniques and to help them understand how to interpret their research results. A secondary area of interest is conservation biology of native fishes. She and her husband have published several studies on evolutionary diversity, movements, distribution, reproduction and habitat requirements of many of the fascinating, but poorly, fishes in our region.
