个人简介

Dr. Robert W. Korn is a plant developmental biologist who has published numerous papers on the expression of various plant chimeras. He was one of the first to apply computer modeling to the study of cellular and plant development. Dr. Korn's research was featured as the "cover article" for the November 2001 issue of American Journal of Botany. In honor of Professor Korn's lifetime achievements, an annual honorary award was established in 2003 to recognize the graduating student who accomplished the most in the laboratory.

My general research interest is in plant morphology and development with an emphasis on patterns. These patterns range from fundamental ones such as cell shape and stomata arrangement to the more superficial such as chimeras but are useful as probes into identifying the origin of form and pattern.
