个人简介

Professor Rodgers' specific focus uses the fundamentals of transport phenomena, mathematical modeling, thermodynamics and kinetics to study and find solutions for biomedical engineering problems. His work is largely interdisciplinary and collaborative with colleagues at medical school and pharmaceutical and bioscience programs, particularly at the University of Iowa. Current collaborative research focuses on development of medical devices to reduce edema and provide drug delivery for severe stroke, severe spinal cord injury and severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. Additional research focuses on addressing the unique thermodynamics of crowded protein systems such as that found in cellular cytosol. Research areas include biotransport phenomena, bioreaction kinetics, redox cellular reactions, crowded protein thermodynamics, and bioseparations
