The Ben Lab research interests may be divided into primarily two areas. These are asymmetric synthesis of compounds possessing unusual biological or medicinal properties (methodology development) and bioorganic chemistry (rational design and synthesis of low molecular weight biological antifreezes with enhanced stability and activity for medical, commercial and industrial applications).
