个人简介

Dr. Flynn received his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky in 1999 and subsequently completed a pharmacy practice and critical care specialty residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He then spent two years in Dr. Scott Akers lab as a fellow in Cardiovascular Translational Research. Dr. Flynn's current responsibilities include providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients at the UK Chandler Medical Center and facilitating the care of all patients on the cardiothoracic surgery service as well as the heart and lung transplant patients. Teaching activities include precepting both students and residents on the cardiothoracic surgery service, participating in the therapeutics curriculum, and co-coordinating the critical care elective. He currently serves as the assistant director of the cardiovascular translational research fellowship. His current research interests are focused on optimizing drug therapy in the cardiothoracic surgery and heart/lung transplant populations.
