研究领域

创建“北京大学自然保护与社会发展研究中心”，研究领域包括：动物学、生态学、保护生物学、生物多样性保护等。中心致力于自然保护和人类可持续发展的基础研究和行动研究，并在研究与实践之间搭建桥梁，为人与自然和谐共生提供基于证据的实用解决方案。她一直以来在中国西南山地和青藏高原开展大熊猫、雪豹等旗舰物种的基础生态学研究、自然生态系统与人类社会-经济-文化体系的互动和基于当地社区的保护研究，以及相关政策的影响和保护实践的有效性研究。目前的研究扩展到城市及农田系统的生物多样性保护主流化以及西藏年墨脱及雅鲁藏布地区的生物多样性保护与可持续发展的研究。
