个人简介

As a former “military brat”, Professor Apryll Stalcup caught the traveling “bug”. She received her BS in chemistry from California State University-Sacramento in 1979 after attending three other colleges (in Hawaii, southern and northern California with a year hiatus in Staten Island). She worked as an analytical chemist at a small environmental consulting firm outside Washington, DC, before pursuing graduate studies at Georgetown University with Professor Daniel Martire. She obtained her MS in 1985 and her PhD in Physical Chemistry in 1988. While a graduate student at Georgetown University, she was a Graduate Student Co-op Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Rolla with Professor Daniel Armstrong for two years prior to accepting an Assistant Professor position at the University of Hawaii-Manoa in 1990. In 1996, she moved to the University of Cincinnati where she was promoted to Full Professor in 2001. In 2012, she was appointed Director of the Irish Separation Science Cluster and Professor of Chemical Sciences at Dublin City University in Ireland
