Professor Yang is a polymer chemist with extensive experience in both physical and organic investigation. In recent year, he has been devoting significant effort to the synthesis and properties of metal oxide nanoparticle to be incorporated in polymer matrix for nanoelectronics. His published articles include findings on metal oxides: Fe2O3, CaO, multiferroic BiFeO3, Titania , Mixed Iron?Manganese Oxide,BaTiO3, SrTiO3 and BaxSr1-xTiO3. ?-alumina and YAG. His interest in nanoelectronics includes fast conductance switching, room temperature photomagnetoelectric coupling and ultacapacitors based on nanoelements. Dr. Yang continues to carry out research on synthesis and properties of novel polymer with well-defined structure: star- & branch polymers for biological applications; Interfacial syntheses of novel materials; Photopolymerization and photodegradation for image formation in polymeric systems; Novel polyacetal chemistry; Applications of FT-NMR and FT-EPR.
