Physical Chemistry, Molecular Spectroscopy (Vacuum Ultraviolet Region), Electronic Structure of Molecules, Molecular Modeling: The electronic structure of molecules determines all of their chemistry. Absorption, natural circular dichroism, and magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy are used to investigate the electronic structure of “building block” molecules in the vacuum ultraviolet region. The experimental results are compared to theoretical calculations.  These investigations expand our knowledge of both molecular electronic structure of molecules and theoretical methods.
