个人简介

Michael Hanophy joined the faculty in 1999. Prior to coming to St. Joseph’s College, he had taught biology in high school and at the College of New Rochelle. He served for five years as chair of the SJC Curriculum Committee, and currently serves as chair of the Faculty Interests Council. Dr. Hanophy was elected a Fellow of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) in 2005, having served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2000 and as Association Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee from 2007 to 2013. He is currently the editor of The Science Teachers Bulletin, the 77-year-old professional journal of the association.

研究领域

Dr. Hanophy’s scholarly interests include antibiotic production and resistance, biofilm biology and the history of microbiology. He has also published and given presentations in the area of biology and microbiology education.
