Christopher H. van Dyck, MD, is Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Neuroscience, Director, Division of Aging and Geriatric Psychiatry; Director of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Unit; Director, Yale Alzheimer's Disease Research Center His research interests include therapeutic, neuroimaging and genetic studies of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and healthy cognitive aging. Dr. van Dyck is very active in AD therapeutic research. Since 1992 he has participated in 80+ multicenter clinical trials for AD and MCI and has authored several of the trial publications. He serves on the Steering Committees of the NIA Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS) and Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI). Dr. van Dyck’s other significant scholarly contributions include dopamine transporter imaging in healthy aging and the apolipoprotein E e4 Phenotype of AD. In 2005 he received the "Compassion and Cure" Award from the Alzheimer's Association.
