个人简介
Melinda Pettigrew, PhD, is Professor of Epidemiology, the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Title IX coordinator at the Yale School of Public Health. She completed a fellowship from the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program for Women in 2013 and was a Public Voices Thought Leaders Fellow in 2014-2015. Professor Pettigrew has an international reputation in the molecular epidemiology of respiratory tract infections, particularly in Streptococcus pneumoniae as a cause of otitis media and community-acquired pneumonia. Other research interests include infectious causes of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and the study of antibiotic induced disruptions to the microbiota. She serves on the Steering Committee for the Antibiotic Resistance Leadership Group and serves on the editorial board of mBio.
