Pharm.D., Idaho State University, 2000 M.S.c, Drug Information and Communications, Long Island University, 1992 B.S., Pharmacy, University of Texas, 1988 Dr. Miki Goldwire comes to Regis University with over 20 years’ experience in drug information. She received her B.S. in Pharmacy from The University of Texas, an M.S. in Drug Information and Communications from the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, and a Pharm.D. from Idaho State University. She completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and a 2-year fellowship in Drug Information at the Arnold Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy. Dr. Goldwire is also a Board Certification Pharmacotherapy Specialist. After completion of her fellowship, she worked as a Drug Information Specialist at the International Drug Information Center at the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy in Brooklyn. Leaving New York for her home state of Texas, Dr. Goldwire worked at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston where she was the Clinical Coordinator for Drug Information. Here she developed materials for drug formulary review, medication use review, and policy review; she also edited and published the bimonthly Pharmacy and Therapeutics Newsletter as well as the biennial drug formulary. Dr. Goldwire left hospital pharmacy practice for industry when hired by Pharmacia as a Clinical Science Manager specializing in arthritis and pain. After a move to Denver, Dr. Goldwire worked as a Senior Clinical Content Specialist under the Editorial Department of Thompson Micromedex where she reviewed written content for and provided constructive feedback to writers. Most recently, Dr. Goldwire has coordinated and served as a preceptor for non-traditional Pharm.D. program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Goldwire has presented at numerous local, regional, and national pharmacy meetings. Dr. Goldwire is the faculty contact for the Regis University School of Pharmacy Drug Information Service (druginformation@regis.edu) and the working editor for the SOP Newsletter, Pharma Personalis.
