研究领域

实验室的方向为生物钟调控的规律及分子生物学机制研究。生物钟是地球上绝大多数生物为适应地球自转而产生的光照、温度等诸多环境因子的24小时周期性,而进化出来的内在的分子调控机制。生物钟对于调控生理、心理及行为的24小时周期具有重要意义,但生物节律受到干扰或破坏时,生理或健康会受损,包括会导致睡眠障碍、免疫力下降、代谢紊乱、情感性疾病以及导致肿瘤发生率增加等。除了24小时周期的节律外,不生物还存在潮汐节律、月节律、季节性节律等,这也都是对各种环境周期的适应,各自具有不同或交叉的分子调节基础。在这些不同的节律当中,目前研究得比较清楚的是24小时的昼夜节律,而对于其他节律的了解则得非常有限。
