研究领域
Dr. Ganesan’s work has focused on utilizing systems-level approaches to define novel pathways that regulate melanin production and melanoma chemoresistance. Currently, his work is focusing on the role of autophagy regulators in melanosome biogenesis and the role of RhoJ/PAK1 in melanoma chemoresistance. In addition to managing an active research laboratory, Dr. Ganesan maintains an active clinical practice focusing on patients with pigmentary disorders and skin cancer, although he also sees general dermatology patients. The ultimate goal of his research/clinical work is to develop new therapies to treat melanoma and pigmentary disorders.
