个人简介

Prof. Hong Zhou has a PhD degree in biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine (1995), and MS and BS degrees in physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He also received advanced training in computer science and mathematics. Dr. Zhou is a leader in the field of cryo electron microscopy (cryoEM) and the founding director of the UCLA cryoEM facility - the Electron Imaging Center for NanoMachines, based in the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI). His research focuses on the structural and functional studies of membrane proteins, protein-RNA complexes and viruses.
