Research in the Zou group focuses on four multidisciplinary inter-related areas. 1). Electrocatalysis of nanoparticles - Unraveling the particle structure and reactivity relationships 2). Surface electrochemistry - Understanding the adsorption and reactions at the electrochemical interfaces by using surface vibrational spectroscopies and scanning probe microscopies 3). Nanoscale materials - Synthesis, characterization and application of various metal and metal oxide nanomaterials 4). Molecular electronics - Understand how the molecular structure affects the electron transport properties
