纳米材料的制备、表征及应用、氧化物-非氧化物复合材料的研究与开发、新型含碳材料的开发与应用等。 主持和参与科研项目20余项,在国内外学术期刊发表论文80余篇,出版专著2部,通过6项成果鉴定,申请国家发明专利12项,获科技奖励10余项。
