Technologies useful in developing applications in clinical medicine

My interests are in the exploration of technologies useful for developing applications for human clinical medicine. Our group is currently involved in several collaborative research projects all designed to develop technologies useful for measuring substances in human oral fluids. One project focuses on developing rapid tests to detect passive exposure to tobacco smoke. A second project is developing assay and instrument platforms capable of simultaneously detecting nucleic acid and protein targets of interest collected from an oral sample.
