The Loza-Coll Lab is broadly interested in the genetic mechanisms that control fate decisions in stem cells, under normal conditions or following diverse forms of physiological stress. In order to tackle this overarching “Big Picture” biological question, we work on several specific projects: Gut stem cells Testis stem cells Genetic Networks and Bioinformatics Stem Cells and Stress But these projects are constantly evolving, based on new discoveries in the field, our own findings and, most importantly, new questions or approaches that our students may bring to the lab. So, if you have an idea for a project that you would like to discuss, speak up – we’ll listen.
