Dr. Hewitt's research interests focus on 1)laboratory studies of the kinetics, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopy of atmospheric species using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, gas chromatography, laser ionization spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry; 2) development of new analytical methods for atmospheric chemistry studies, and 3) computational calculations of atmospheric studies (in collaboration with Dr. Fu-Ming Tao).
