1978年9月至1982年7月: 武汉大学化学系学习1984年9月至1987年6月: 武汉大学化学系研究生学习1989年10月至1990年10月:丹麦皇家兽医农业大学化学系学习1995年9月至1999年7月:武汉工业大学博士研究生学习,获工学博士学位工作经历1982年8月之1993年8月:湖北工学院食品工程系任教1993年8月至1995年8月:武汉工业大学材料学院任教1995年9月至今: 武汉理工大学光纤中心工作1987年10月晋升为讲师,1996年10月晋升为副教授,2001年10月晋升为教授,2003年3月为博士生导师。
