Dr. Alastair Wall joined the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, in 2010. Shortly thereafter he also becoming a member of the Department of Adult Critical Care. In 2011, Dr. Wall earned the title Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Wall's path to medicine was not linear, after completing a bachelor's degree in commerce, he spent several years working in business management and film production. Dr Wall is an alumnus of both the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine and the University of Saskatchewan Internal Medicine Residency program. He completed his fellowship in Adult Critical Care at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Wall's background in management has been very useful. Besides providing full-time inpatient care (Internal Medicine admitting services and Adult Critic Care at both St. Paul's and Royal University Hospitals), Dr. Wall is very involved in administrative work. He sits on the Division of General Internal Medicine and Department of Adult Critical Care Executive Committees, the St. Paul's Hospital Ethics Board, and has been involved in several Quality Improvement projects over the last two years. Finally, Dr. Wall is committed to didactic and bedside teaching in the Intensive Care Unit and on the medicine wards. Most recently leading to The Department of Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program Best Off Service Teacher Award in 2015.
