Plant nitrogen metabolism Ureide metabolism Nitrogen Fixation Arginine Metabolism Plant Abiotic Stress

In the Todd lab we are interested in the regulation of nitrogen metabolism and how it relates to plant growth and development. Of particular interest in the lab right now is the role of ureide metabolism in soybean and Arabidopsis and howit relates to provisioning of nitrogen as well as plant response to stress. I am also interested in the importance of arginine metabolism in plants and how the enzyme arginase is involved in both primary metabolism as well as potential interactions with signaling pathways.
