My current research focuses on the systematics and phylogenetics of the hemichordates, and the functional morphology of marine invertebrates. I use comparative (electron microscopy, video and light microscopy), developmental (surgical embryology, protein expression), and computational (computational fluid dynamics, molecular phylogenetics) techniques. I also use SCUBA to study the animals in their environment.
