个人简介

Biographical details Markus Müllner studied polymer and colloid chemistry at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. After research visits to the University of Lund, Sweden, and the University of Melbourne, Australia, he received his PhD in polymer chemistry at the Bayreuth Graduate School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences in 2012. He subsequently joined the University of Melbourne as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2013, he was awarded a McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowship by the University of Melbourne to research at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. In June 2015, he became a Lecturer in the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney and joined the Key Centre for Polymers and Colloids. Since 2016, he is a member of Sydney Nano and the RSC Materials Horizons Community Board, and become an ARC DECRA Fellow in 2018.

研究领域

Research interests Nanotechnology defines a multidisciplinary research endeavour aiming at finding new ways to tackle current issues in the fields of sustainable materials, renewable energy and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The ability to control the synthesis of materials at the nanoscale allows us to produce tailor-made nanomaterials with distinct properties. In our group we are interested in finding intuitive and new ways to access unprecedented polymeric and hybrid nanostructures. Our aims is to produce complex and multifunctional nano-scale materials for applications in catalysis, energy storage, sensing and nanomedicine. Polymer chemistry provides the ideal playground for creative materials design!
