研究领域
My research area is four-dimensional ultrafast electron microscopy (4D-EM) and atomic/nanoscale ultrafast dynamics and physics. Specifically, I am interested in physical and chemical properties and related dynamical processes of functional nanomaterials during their functions by in-situ electron microscopy, 4D-EM and ultrafast nanoscale optical spectroscopy, with an emphasis on developing advanced in-situ 4D ultrafast transmission electron microscopy (UTEM),
4D ultrafast scanning electron microscopy (USEM) and 4D ultrafast cathodoluminescence (TRCL) to reveal the structural evolution and energy carrier (electrons, charges, phonons, magnon, excitons etc.) transport and interaction dynamics of functional nanomaterials at an unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution (atomic to nanoscale and femtosecond (10^-15 s) to millisecond ). I am currently working on developing operando UTEM techniques such as liquid-phase and gas-phase, in situ photon induced near field electron microscopy (PINEEM) and solid state open cell technique etc., to investigate ultrafast dynamical phenomena of nanostructures, chemical and physical systems in their native environment and real functional process.
