My research activities are primarily carried out at the Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR), a facility which specializes on the production of fuels and chemicals from alternative resources, heavy oil upgrading, and sustainable technologies. My immediate research goal is to combine my expertise in hydroprocessing fluid dynamics (e.g., scaling methodologies, high pressure experiments, particle agglomeration, etc.) with the extensive knowledge of the current ICFAR researchers on the topics of thermal cracking via fluid coking technologies as well as bio-oil production and valorization.
