个人简介

Dr. Kirtman received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Harvard University in 1961. He pursued his postdoctoral studies at the University of Washington (Seattle) and joined the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley in 1962. In 1965 he moved to UCSB where he has been ever since. Dr. Kirtman is a recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award of the UCSB Academic Senate (1983) and the ICCMSE 2005 Prize for Theoretical and Computational Chemistry. A Special Symposium in his honor was held in Rhodes, Greece 29 September – 1 October 2009.
