研究领域

My research programme attempts to blend applied andbasic science with the goal of generating a better understanding of human impacts on riverine ecosystems. My primary areas of reseach include (1) investigating the effects of multiple stressors (including nutrient-contaminant interactions and dissolved oxygen dynamics) on benthic food webs of large rivers; (2)developing and applying novel experimental streams for use in environmental effects assessment; (3) applying stable isotope technologies to trace pollution impacts in food webs; (4) investigating the effects of forest harvesting on benthic communities in stream ecosystems; and (5) understanding the role of benthic predator-prey interactions in structuring riverine communities.
